Episode 1 - Dr. Benjamin Segal -- Multiple Sclerosis
DR. SEGAL is the chair of the Department of Neurology and Director of the Neurological Research Institute at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is also co-director of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's Neurological Institute and an expert in Multiple Sclerosis and neuroimmunology.
He earned his medical degree Brown University, completed his internship in medicine at University of Chicago and conducted his residency in neurology at New York Hospital/Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
Episode 2 - Dr. Lisa Christopher-Stine -- Inclusion Body Myositis
DR. CHRISTOPHER-STINE, M.D., M.P.H., is an associate professor of medicine and neurology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Director of the Johns Hopkins Myositis Center. She serves as one of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine College Advisors, and is a Board Member of the Johns Hopkins Institutional Review Board. She also serves as the Deputy Director of Telemedicine in the Division of Rheumatology and looks forward to utilizing this outreach effort to extend both clinical and research care in the future.
Episode 3 - Dr. Samantha Hendren -- HPV-Related Anal Cancer
DR. SAMANTHA HENDREN, MD, MPH, is Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Hendren is a colorectal surgeon who completed medical school at Yale, residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and colorectal surgery fellowship at the University of Toronto. Her clinical practice includes traditional and minimally-invasive surgery for colon, rectal and other bowel cancers, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and anorectal disorders.
Episode 4 - Dr. Jordan Winter -- Pancreatic Cancer
DR. JORDAN WINTER, MD FACS, was recruited in 2018 to the position of Division Chief of Surgical Oncology at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio and the Director of Surgical Services at the Seidman Cancer Center. He is a member of the GI Cancer Genetics Program at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Winter’s clinical interest is in the management of pancreatic and related cancers. He has been a principal investigator (PI) on multiple clinical trials, including subsite PI of the international APACT adjuvant chemotherapy trial.
Episode 5 - Dr. Philip Blazar -- Dupuytren's Contracture
DR. PHILIP BLAZAR practices at the top rated Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He carries the title of chief, hand and upper extremity services. He also is an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School. This year, he was named a top doctor by Boston Magazine and by Castle Connolly which offers ratings on doctors nationwide.
Episode 6 - Dr. Cliff Megerian -- Meniere's Disease
DR. CLIFF MEGERIAN, an otolaryngologist, is the president and soon-to-be CEO of University Hospitals System in Cleveland, Ohio, a more than $4 billion comprehensive health system and one of the top networks of hospitals in the state of Ohio with more than 26,000 employees. He also serves as a professor of head and neck surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
